Authenticity
Standards & Requirements
Company D., 2nd Ranger Battalion Northwest Historical Association Authenticity standards and requirements of the 2nd Ranger Bn. are among the highest in the NWHA. The men of this unit all believe that what we represent while in uniform is more important than ourselves. The brave men who wore these uniforms in combat have earned the right to be memorialized properly. It is our duty as Living Historians to do our best to see that their history is portrayed correctly. Anything less is an injustice to the extraordinary sacrifices these men made. Although we try hard to be open to anyone interested in joining the unit, there are certain standards that must be adhered to if accuracy is to be maintained. Weight and Age Standards - We realize that we cannot ask for the perfect soldier; However, we
do enforce a somewhat strict standard of weight and age. This rule is
designed to keep the units overall look as realistic as possible. Bare
in mind that some people carry their weight or age better than others
and all of that is taken into account when anyone applies for membership
in the 2nd Rangers. If you can look and act like a soldier and are in
good health, than we would be happy to consider you for membership.
Hair Standard - Hair will be tapered in the back well above collar. Hair will be tapered on the sides and will not touch the ear. Hair on the top of the head shall be at the members discretion, but should be neat in appearance and not excessively long. Sideburns will be no longer than mid-ear and mustaches will be trimmed and WWII-style - not past the corner of the mouth. Membership Requirements Basic Requirements For Membership In 2nd Ranger Battalion
